Too many of us
This is a very interesting and also worrying video by National Geographic about the world's population. Have you ever stopped to think about this? It leads you to take some time to reflect on what kind of world we want to live in, and how we are contributing to create a better one for the oncoming generations. You can guess quite a lot just from the title.
7 BILLION
Some synonyms that may be useful:
population: inhabitants/ citizenry
increase: grow/ extend/ enlarge
to take up: occupy/ live in / reside
fill: take up
consume: use/ use up/ make use of
lack: need/ require

Jamie cooks summer
As most of you probably know, Jamie Oliver is an extremely successful British chef with a fresh and lively attitude towards food. His TV series are world-famous and he has written 15 cookery books. He has led a revolution in the way people eat in Britain, and has successfully accompanied thousands of parents in protest in an attempt to change school meals. Now food in many schools is better quality, fresher, seasonal, and much more healthier.
In this video he simply shows us his cooking ways for the British summer. Ideas for a picnic or a day out with friends, far from ham & cheese sandwiches. I hope you enjoy it.
He'll first tell you about how to make a gourgeous chilli con carne to take away, and I actually do think that his chilli con carne and guacamole are the best ever, so why don't you give them a try?
Then he will show you how to smoke fish using a bucket, a very handy idea for a beach day after going fishing!

Reading
into every word you say
You
said that you could let it go
And
I wouldn't catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know-oh-oh
But you didn't have __________
Make
it like it never happened and that we were nothing

The Logical Song - Supertramp
This is the story of all of us, who go from the wonder of
discovering the world through our own eyes, to being told by teachers, relatives and adults in general, that actually the world 'is' this or that way, and you'll be
discarded as a radical, childish, illogical and liberal, to say the least, if you take
another view of the world.
And this other version if you didn't manage to understand the words. It's a bit slower, so easier to catch the gaps.
Do you relate to this song?
